Where Did the Concept of Never Too Late come from?
When talking to friends and family about the honour of being a celebrant, the conversation evolved around people’s unsatisfied experiences or poor funeral services; of not having had a chance to contribute to a service; or of not having the understanding when younger just how important that person was in their lives. The same emotions came out over and over, of regret and words not spoken. And it seemed that for many, an important stage within the grieving process had never been fully resolved.

So I looked for a solution, and came up with Never Too Late. This is what Never to Late offers to you. A quality person-centred celebrant remembrance service, after whatever time has passed since their death, utilising all my knowledge, skills and care to help you express your gratitude and love for someone you forever hold dear.
What is a Trained Celebrant?
I am a fully certified member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC), trained personally by the internationally recognised Terri Negus. Belonging to the FPC ensures I have strong founding values, supporting diversity and inclusion within all aspects of celebrancy, treating all with equal compassion. I will always listen to the wishes of the families I serve, as I help them prepare the service they desire.

As an Independent Celebrant, I can conduct a personalised service that is either a totally non-religious remembrance, or including religious elements, like hymns, prayers, or a blessing; reflecting the beliefs of the deceased, or the wishes of those left behind.
So why did I become a Celebrant?
We all experience grief in our lives. I have gone through the bereavement process and understand the importance of a good funeral and how that truly helped me come to terms with my loss. Bringing people together in a collective moment of grief and remembrance, to celebrate a life, is indeed an honour... And it is something I want everyone to have the opportunity to experience, through Never Too Late Services.
My Background Experience and Skills
As a retired State School Senior Leader, I am a confident and clear public speaker, who understands that good communication always starts with careful listening. My experiences supporting young people, parents and carers over three decades have taught me to be empathetic; a guide through challenging times. Helping run an acclaimed theatre company for people with learning disabilities, Firebird Theatre, demonstrated how poetry, music and words can produce powerful, insightful moments.

I’m a father, husband, film enthusiast, football coach and referee, all of which have reinforced within me the fundamental importance of communities. Above all I’ve learnt to never underestimate the importance of kindness.
